Hospice
Hospice is a program for those individuals who have a terminal
illness and have a life expectancy of six months or less and are
no longer seeking curative treatment.
The Hospice staff make scheduled visits to assess the patients
and assist them with problems or concerns, such as pain, that
may be occurring. The visits are catered towards the patient and
family needs. Staff members that make home visits include nurses,
social worker, chaplain, pharmacist, physical therapist, dietitian,
and trained volunteers.
